• If you have experience with handguns and would like to further your knowledge and build your skills with a firearm, this is the class for you. You will learn more in depth about the basic safety and responsibilities that come with owning and operating a handgun. The course picks up where Pistol 2 leaves off and doesn't slow down. This 6-hour course is fast-paced. Topics covered are shooting from the holster, weapons retention from the holster, shooting from behind cover, in and out of battery reloading, and culminates with a timed move and shoot course. 



    • Require proof of NRA Course successfully completed,
    • Must have either:
      • PC 832 firearms or,
      • BSIS Exposed Firearm permit or,
      • Successfully completed our Pistol 2 course and,
    • Students must be 18 years of age or older to participate.


    Materials Required:

    • Bring your own firearm with factory ammunition (no reloads)

      • Firearm rentals are no longer available for the Pistol 3 Class 

    • Holster (preferred level II) for use throughout the course

    • Belt-worn magazine holder

      • 2-Magazine Minimum

    • Flashlight

      • used for limited visibility shooting

    • Long Pants

      • Expect to get dirty during this course

    • Close-toed shoes

    • 300 rounds of ammunition (factory)

      • Full metal jacket (NO reloads)

    • Handgun

      • Students must provide their own firearm

    Late Registration Policy:

    An additional fee of 15% will be charged to students who sign up less than 48 hours from the date of the scheduled course. 


    Students must be at least 18 years of age or older to participate. You must be a citizen of the United States or have permanent legal alien status and show a valid driver’s license or other valid photo identification to use a firearm in connection with any Services provided under this Agreement. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to remain on the premisis or on the range.  DTTG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE.
