BSIS Handcuffing Training Course
This is a 4 hours course, with lecture and hands on practical training with handcuffs. It is recommended that you take a handcuff training course to avoid any future legal or civil liability. The course will cover how to properly place handcuff in an efficient and quickly as possible to avoid any injury to the person being handcuffed or to the guard.
The Security Guard Handcuff Training Course will cover the following:
1. Legal and moral aspects of using handcuffs
2. Searching and handcuffing techniques: standing and prone
3. Hands on practical use and procedures of handcuffing
4. Purchase types and brands of handcuff available on the market
5. Learn the law enforcement techniques of handcuffing and searching
6. Handcuffs will be supplied for the class training
Class time: 1:00pm - 5:00pm (4 hours)
Requirements: Must have a valid guard card or security guard applicants are eligible to take this course.
The student must successfully pass the training and written exam before a handcuff training certificate is issued.
Handcuff training certificate will be issued at the end of the course for those with a valid guard card.
**Please arrive early for registration and to settle in. Class will promptly begin at 1 PM.**

Students will be charged a $15 cancellation fee to cancel any class. No fee will be charged for rescheduling classes.
Late Registration Policy:
An additional fee of 15% will be charged to students for anyone who signs up less than 48 hours from the start of the scheduled course. This fee applies to the cost of the course.
Students must be at least 18 years of age or older to participate. You must be a citizen of the United States or have permanent legal alien status and show a valid driver’s license or other valid photo identification to use any Services provided under this Agreement. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to take courses. DTTG RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE.
