BSIS Guard Card Course
The Guard Card Course is an 8-hour class that allows individuals to become eligible to register for a CA Guard Card license through the Bureau of Security & Investigated Services (BSIS) to become a licensed security guard.
This course includes the “Power to Arrest” and “Weapons of Mass Destruction” training based upon the CA BSIS course curriculum. This training is an essential requirement to become a licensed security officer in the State of California.
All applicants who wish to become part of the growing private security industry as security guards in California must successfully be trained by a licensed BSIS instructor through a licensed facility and pass the written examination of these subjects before they can submit their CA Guard Card Application and undergo a criminal history background check through the California Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
